At least eight people were killed when two boats capsized near Black Beach in San Diego, the report said.
According to local rescuers, the fishing boats capsized, one carrying 8 people and the other 15 people. A survivor called the police, and local authorities used his phone’s GPS to locate the crash.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined. Among the dead may be foreign citizens who attempted to smuggle into the United States.
