successfully escaped with “toothbrush digging”

Two Virginia inmates dug a hole with a toothbrush to escape , only to be arrested hours later at a waffle shop in a scene from the movie “The Shawshank Redemption.”

They turned toothbrushes and metal objects into tools and used what police said were structural cracks in the prison walls to obtain loose reinforcement bars.
Using these steel bars, they managed to escape by digging holes in the wall.
But the taste of freedom was very short-lived. They were arrested at a nearby muffin shop early yesterday morning.
The sheriff did not say whether the two were arrested inside or outside the waffle shop.
