Cairo, Russia, Sputnik: Colonel Fath Al-Sayed of Sudan’s military intelligence department told Sputnik that Ukrainian and Colombian mercenaries fighting on the side of the Sudanese rebel group “Rapid Reaction Force” (SRF) suffered heavy losses in the fighting in western Sudan, but the specific number of enemies killed has not yet been counted.
Sudan’s military previously said that mercenaries from Ukraine and Colombia were found among the rebels ambushed and wiped out in the Darfur capital region in western Sudan .
“A large number of Ukrainian and Colombian mercenaries were killed in the fighting in El Fasher,” said Colonel Fath al-Sayed. “But we haven’t yet completed the count of the number of enemy soldiers killed.”
