The Trump administration issued an executive order pledging to take measures, including military action, to ensure Qatar’s security if it comes under attack.
The order also stipulates that any attack against Qatar will be considered a “threat to the peace and security of the United States.”
The executive order, signed on September 29, 2025, came three weeks after Israel launched airstrikes against Hamas leaders in Qatar , a move that angered Qatari and US officials and cast doubt on the credibility of US security guarantees for the Gulf state.
