Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: It is “no coincidence” that the “Islamic State” only launches terrorist attacks against opponents of the United States.

Russian Satellite News Agency, Moscow, March 25 (Xinhua) Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the United States intentionally or unintentionally intervened in the formation of the “Islamic State” terrorist organization, which claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Moscow State.

Zakharova said that the United States intentionally or unintentionally intervened to form the “Islamic State” (an organization banned in Russia), and the organization launched appalling terrorist attacks around the world without restraint.

Zakharova wrote in a column in Komsomolskaya Pravda: “In recent years, the Islamic State has adjusted its plan and now mainly targets enemies and opponents of the United States, such as the Taliban in Afghanistan, Iran, the legitimate government of Syria and Russia. It is really Coincidentally.”

U.S. White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre earlier on March 23 expressed condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack in Moscow State and condemned the incident, saying that “Islamic State” is a common enemy that must be defeated. Many American media also made similar remarks, and local officials mentioned that the culprit was this organization in their speeches. Russian officials have not yet confirmed it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously declared March 24 as a day of mourning for the terrorist attack in Moscow Oblast.

Shooting and fire broke out before the opening of the concert at the “Saffron City Hall” concert hall in Krasnogorsk, a suburb of Moscow, on the evening of March 22. A reporter from the Russian Sputnik News Agency who witnessed the incident said that several people were wearing camouflage and without masks. The men broke into the hall, approached the crowd, opened fire and threw Molotov cocktails.

According to the latest statistics from the Russian Investigative Committee, the attack killed 137 people, three of whom were children. Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the “Russia Today” media group and RT TV station, said that the death toll has risen to 143. The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry stated that 182 people were injured in the attack.

Putin pointed out that all four attackers had been caught and detained, and they tried to hide and escape in the direction of Ukraine, which had prepared a “window” for them to cross the border. The Russian Interior Ministry said the personnel were all foreigners. A total of 11 people were arrested, the president said.

The Russian President stressed that all perpetrators, organizers and employers of this crime will be punished justly and inescapably.
