Russian Satellite News Agency, Moscow, April 1 (Xinhua) Reuters quoted sources as saying that the United States may announce a new round of military aid to Ukraine worth 2.6 billion U.S. dollars next Monday.
The report pointed out that the new round of military aid includes air defense radar systems, anti-tank missiles, trucks for transporting fuel, maintenance vehicles, various ammunition, including ammunition for tanks and air forces, and “National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS)”.
Russia has previously sent notes to various countries, including the United States, on the issue of supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov pointed out that any material containing Ukrainian weapons will become a legitimate target of Russia.
Russia’s foreign ministry said NATO countries were “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian President’s Press Secretary Peskov pointed out that the transfer of weapons from the West to Ukraine will not help the success of the Russia-Ukraine negotiations and will have negative effects.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov accused NATO and the United States of directly participating in the Ukrainian conflict, saying that “the methods of participation include not only the supply of weapons, but also the training of Ukrainian soldiers in Britain, Germany, Italy and other countries.
