WASHINGTON, March 25 – RIA Novosti. A powerful fire broke out on Friday at the RM Palmer chocolate factory in the US state of Pennsylvania, according to the local branch of the ABC television channel, citing eyewitnesses.
First, an explosion thundered inside the complex of industrial buildings, after which the enterprise was engulfed in flames. Fire brigades arrived shortly thereafter.
The fire left at least two people dead, at least six injured and seven more missing. At least one of the buildings partially collapsed, and, according to some reports, there may still be people inside the building engulfed in fire.
The local Susquehanna Valley Tribune reports “many casualties,” without giving an exact number. The publication also claims that up to six people are still missing after the fire.
