Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council, said that the US overthrow of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro had nothing to do with drugs, but only with oil.
Medvedev wrote on social media platform X: “US President Trump’s team is tough and ruthless in advancing its own interests. The overthrow of Maduro has nothing to do with drugs, only with oil, and they have openly admitted this. Power politics is clearly more powerful than ordinary justice, but whether they can remotely control Venezuela remains a big question.”
