Former President Obama on Thursday shared his yearly favorites in books, movies and music with his followers online.
“As 2025 comes to a close, I’m continuing a tradition that I started during my time in the White House: sharing my annual lists of favorite books, movies, and music,” he wrote in a statement on the social platform X.
“I hope you find something new to enjoy—and please send any recommendations for me to check out!” he added.
His top three favorite books were “Paper Girl” by Beth Macy, “Flashlight” by Susan Choi and “We the People” by Jill Lepore.
He also shouted out former first lady Michelle Obama’s new book, “The Look,” in which she highlights her fashion style throughout life and her husband’s two consecutive terms in the White House.
The former president’s favorite movies of the year included “One Battle After Another,” “Sinners” and “It Was Just an Accident.”
The list of his favorite songs highlighted popular artists that he’s touted for years including Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Chappell Roan.
Songs highlighted as his 2025 favorites featured “Stay” by Roe, “Nokia” by Drake, “Ancient Light” by I’m with her and “Just Say Dat” by Gunna.
One of his followers created a Spotify playlist with all of Obama’s 30 featured favorites.
