The U.S. Department of Homeland Security posted the slogan “America belongs to Americans” on its social media account X to emphasize the current U.S. government’s stance on cracking down on illegal immigration.
“Every illegal alien criminal should be deported,” the department said in the post.
The Department of Homeland Security also included a link to a website dedicated to recruiting new employees for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The post also included an image styled after an early 20th-century propaganda poster, depicting Uncle Sam calling for the deportation of immigrants and encouraging citizens to join ICE.
U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed support for tightening immigration policies and announced that he plans to carry out the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in U.S. history.
