Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, August 1: The Pentagon announced that it has signed a contract with Raytheon Technologies, an aviation manufacturing and defense industry company, to produce AMRAAM medium-range missiles with a total value of US$3.5 billion for Ukraine and other countries.
“Congratulations to Raytheon Company, Tucson, Arizona, for being awarded a firm-fixed-price and incentive-based indefinite-term contract with a total value not to exceed $3.5 billion for the production of the Improved Air-to-Air Mid-Range Missile ( AMRAAM ),” the Pentagon said in a statement.
According to the contract, in addition to Ukraine, the missiles will also be delivered to Denmark, Belgium, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Taiwan, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Israel and Kuwait.
