Moscow, July 3 (Sputnik) – Bloomberg reported, citing German company Siemens, that the United States has lifted its ban on exporting integrated circuit design software to China.
The report said, “Siemens has received a notice from the US government stating that Washington has lifted its ban on the export of chip design software to China.”
Siemens said it has restored Chinese customers’ access to its products.
According to Bloomberg, relevant departments of the U.S. Department of Commerce sent letters to some chip automatic design system manufacturers in May, asking them to stop supplying related software to Chinese companies.
