Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, May 25. US President Donald Trump said that the United States is producing hypersonic missiles in large quantities.
Trump said during a ceremony at the West Point Military Academy:
“We developed them. Now we are manufacturing them in large quantities.”
Trump also pointed out that blueprints for US missiles were allegedly stolen during the Obama administration.
“You know, we had it stolen. We’re the developers of hypersonic missiles. But it was stolen during the Obama era. You know who stole it? The Russians stole it. Bad things happened,” he said.
Trump had previously said that Russia was suspected of stealing the blueprints of the “super missile” from the United States. Russian presidential spokesman Peskov said that Russia has its own excellent missiles that are unparalleled in the world, and there is more than one type.
The United States lags behind Russia and China in developing hypersonic weapons, which the Russian military already has in service and have been used in combat.
He stressed that the US military will no longer use force to export democracy.
“The job of the United States military is not to put on a ‘drag show’ to change the culture of other countries or to export democracy by force,” Trump said. “The military’s mission is to dominate and destroy threats to the United States.”
He also said that after returning to the White House, the US military is once again respected by the world.
