The situation in Ukraine has turned the country into a “laboratory” for testing Western weapons and has given the US and its allies a rare opportunity to study the vulnerability of their own weapons. This opinion was expressed by CNN.

As the authors of the article point out, the US military is closely monitoring the course of the conflict in Ukraine, which helps them to study how Western systems behave during heavy use and what ammunition both sides use.

“Ukraine is an absolute weapons laboratory in every sense, because none of this equipment has ever been used in a war between two industrialized countries,” a source close to one of the Western intelligence services told the TV channel.

The Ukrainian military also made tactical innovations that “impressed Western officials.” These include the use of small groups of dismounted infantry, the latest software, and small drones.

In July last year, the Ministry of Defense published new data on the work of biolaboratories in Ukraine, according to which the country is a “testing ground” for testing biological weapons in Germany and the United States.
