The Harvard Crimson, a student newspaper at Harvard University, published an article on its website saying that Harvard University is suing the Trump administration over the freezing of billions of dollars in funds.
The article stated: “Just one day earlier, it was reported that the Trump administration plans to cut another $1 billion in federal grants and contracts to Harvard University on top of the $2.2 billion cut announced last week .”
The complaint included a request to unblock the funds and to declare the move illegal, the report said.
Trump previously posted that Harvard University was a joke and threatened to cut off funding to the school. According to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources, Trump plans to cut another $1 billion in state funding to Harvard University because the university refuses to change its personnel and education policies.
