RENTON, Wash. — Three people were injured in multiple shootings that occurred in south King County Thursday afternoon.
The first shooting was reported at 1:26 p.m. in the area of 64 Rainier Avenue South in Renton. A man was found inside his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body, according to Renton police.
Shortly after that, police got a report of a second shooting in the 200 block of Southwest Grady Street in Renton near the Kia car dealership. Another man was found with gunshot wounds at that location.
Both victims were taken to the hospital. One person is in serious condition and the other is in critical condition, according to police officials.
Police received information about a suspect vehicle involved in the shootings and began searching.

Just after 2 p.m., King County Sheriff deputies got word of a third shooting that happened in SeaTac at South 160th Street and 34th Avenue South. A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
The suspect vehicle involved in that shooting is believed to be the same one associated with the two Renton shootings, according to police officials.
Witnesses to the SeaTac shooting were able to give King County Sheriff deputies the suspect vehicle’s description. Deputies located the vehicle and began following it in unmarked vehicles, according to sheriff officials.
The suspect vehicle was eventually stopped on I-5 in Tacoma and a person was detained, sheriff officials said.
No information about the person detained has been released or if there is any connection between the victims who were shot and the suspect.
All three victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. As of 4:30 p.m., two of the men are in critical condition and one is in satisfactory condition, hospital officials said.
