Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, April 2. According to a report by The Washington Post, citing sources, in addition to the Signal applet, US President Trump’s team also used Gmail private mailbox for work communications.
The report said: “Documents studied by The Washington Post and interviews with three U.S. officials show that members of President Trump’s National Security Council used private Gmail accounts to handle state affairs, including White House National Security Advisor Waltz .”
The report said that unlike Signal, Gmail has weaker encryption protection for communications, which is another example of violating the principles of handling sensitive information.
“Electronic correspondence reviewed by The Washington Post shows that senior Waltz aides used a commercial email service to correspond with colleagues in other departments on highly technical topics involving key military positions and powerful weapons systems relevant to a current conflict,” the report said.
