Russia believes that providing weapons to Ukraine hinders mediation of the situation and directly involves NATO members in the conflict, which is “playing with fire”. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov previously pointed out that any supplies including weapons provided to Ukraine will become a legitimate target of attack by Russia. He said that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict, not only supplying weapons, but also training personnel in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and other countries. The Kremlin previously stated that the West’s provision of weapons to Ukraine will not help negotiations and will have a negative impact.
