Pentagon: US provides Ukraine with new round of military aid worth $275 million

Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, November 20. The Pentagon issued a statement on November 20 saying that the United States will provide Ukraine with a new round of military aid worth US$275 million.

The new round of military aid will include HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, 60mm and 81mm mortar shells, TOW anti-tank missiles, Javelin air defense missiles, AT-4 rocket launchers, as well as drones, firearms, engineering equipment and protective equipment against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

This round of military aid will be the 70th military aid provided by the Biden administration to Ukraine since August 2021.

Russia believes that providing weapons to Ukraine hinders the mediation of the situation and directly involves NATO members in the conflict, which is “playing with fire”. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov previously pointed out that any materials including weapons provided to Ukraine will become a legitimate target of attack by Russia. He said that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict, not only supplying weapons, but also training personnel in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and other countries. The Kremlin previously stated that the West’s provision of weapons to Ukraine will not help negotiations and will have a negative impact.

The Kremlin said earlier that any type of weapons provided by the West to Kiev could not change the course of the special military operation.
