Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Washington, with the arrival of the Donald Trump administration, which won the US presidential election, will continue to try to control the situation around Ukraine and will continue to seek to weaken Russia as usual, ignoring the need to protect the rights of the Russian-speaking population.
In an interview with Russia-1 TV channel, Lavrov answered relevant questions and said: “Washington’s principled attitude towards Ukrainian affairs and European affairs will not change, that is, Washington will always strive to control everything that happens within the scope of NATO, including everything that happens within NATO. Moreover, the EU is now the same as NATO in military and political terms.”
The Russian Foreign Minister said he had no doubt that the United States wanted to bring everything under their control.
“The Americans have long declared: ‘There should be no country on earth with more influence than the United States,'” Lavrov said.
