Professor David Woodard, a former consultant to Republican candidates and the author of eight books on American political conservatism, believes that Harris’ problem is that she is not well-known and voters are not as familiar with her as Trump. They may not like Trump, but they know who he is.
He said: “Donald Trump is running for the third time… His opponent is Kamala Harris, who is running for the first time and was introduced to voters during the campaign. Therefore, I think voters are not as familiar with her as they are with Trump. They may not like Trump, but they know who he is. The problem with Harris is that she is not well-known. Ronald Reagan won every state in the United States except one in his second term. That was in 1984. Republicans tend to remember that victory and want to repeat it… And Donald Trump, if he wins today, has the opportunity to rise to a significant height and open a new chapter in the book of conservative Republicans.”
The US election will be held on November 5. Harris, the current US Vice President, and Trump, the former US leader, will compete for the presidency on behalf of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party respectively. Trump has never admitted that he lost the last election.
