Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, October 17th. The US Department of Justice said that Raytheon, one of the largest Pentagon contractors, will pay nearly $1 billion in fines for fraud, intentional price hikes and corruption.
The Justice Department said: “RTX subsidiary Raytheon Corporation has agreed to pay more than $950 million to resolve the government’s investigation into a major foreign fraud scheme that included improper pricing of contracts in certain countries in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the Arms Export Control Act (AECA).”
Among them, Raytheon was accused of deliberately raising the price of national contracts, defrauding the United States, providing unrealistic certification prices, and providing duplicate billing to the Pentagon.
