Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the United States is the only country that increases the risk of conflict on the Korean Peninsula.
“A classic American trick: provoke escalation and then blame everything on those who participated unwillingly,” Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel. “The only country that really increases the risk of conflict on the Korean peninsula and the entire Asia-Pacific region is the United States . They sleep soundly while watching the flames here. Seoul and Tokyo are key security points in the region, they are under pressure from the United States and lack the will to break free from the yoke of slavery manipulated by the United States.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted a draft law on approving the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and North Korea to the State Duma. Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that the Duma will give priority to considering the bill and the issue was submitted to the Duma committee for discussion on Wednesday.
