Elon Musk reports cyberattack plagues Trump’s X conversation space

DDOS attacks are considered low level cyberattacks that overwhelm servers and make them inaccessible to users, according to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

XOwner Elon Musk on Monday night claimed that a large Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack on his social media platform has blocking users from accessing his scheduled conversation with former President Donald Trump.

DDOS attacks are considered low level cyberattacks that overwhelm servers and make them inaccessible to users, according to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Musk is expected to engage in a conversation with Trump on a wide variety of issues on Monday at 8 p.m. but some users have complained that they are not able to access the space. Musk told users that he is working on fixing the issue, but he will also delay the talk and upload the conversation later for all users.

“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on . Working on shutting it down,” Musk posted to X. “Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.”

Musk claimed they tested the system earlier on Monday with eight million listeners, but as of 8:30 p.m. there were issues with less than a million.
