Maine Democratic Secretary of State Shena Belos disqualified former President Trump from the presidential primary of the state, which prohibited those “involved in the rebellion” from taking office. Trump’s lawyers asked Belos to disqualification for tweets they believed were prejudiced. In a tweet, a lawyer and former ACLU executive director, called the Capitol attack a “rebellion” and lamented that Trump had not being convicted by the U. S. Senate after being impeached by the House of Representatives.
