The Pentagon Committee will hold a private meeting on December 5-6 to discuss military strategy against Russia

A document published in the official journal of the U.S. government stated that the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Policy Committee will hold a private meeting next week to discuss the department’s strategy toward Russia.

Documents show that the meeting will be held on December 5 and 6. They will work to “collect, analyze and evaluate classified information” and will ultimately make practical recommendations to the Pentagon on strategic planning at the global and regional levels and implementation of the current National Defense Strategy.

The upcoming meeting will include classified briefings on “the threat Russia poses between now and 2050.” In addition, participants in the closed meeting intend to discuss “confidential data on Russian operations” obtained during special military operations in Ukraine.

Sasha Baker, the Pentagon’s acting undersecretary for political affairs, Marla Carlin, assistant secretary of defense for strategic planning, and Celeste Wallander, assistant secretary for international security affairs, will speak at the briefing.

In addition, Charles Brown, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Christopher Cavalli, commander of the US military European command, will also speak at the meeting.
