US accused of hiding weapons data for Israel

The United States deliberately conceals information about the types and quantities of weapons it transfers to Israel . This is done in order not to link the use of weapons with numerous casualties among the civilian population of the Gaza Strip, the Intercept writes , citing sources and experts interviewed.
“The deliberate lack of transparency about what weapons the United States supplies to Israel on a day-to-day basis is part of the administration’s policy of downplaying Israel’s use of those weapons,” William Hartung, a fellow at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Government, was quoted as saying by the publication.
The publication also writes that the American administration does not want to publish data on what means the Israeli army uses when conducting combat operations in urban environments. Their use is highly likely to lead to civilian casualties, journalists pointed out.
In addition, the United States hides information about specific weapons supplied to Israel.
At the end of October , it was reported that the United States would transfer several tens of thousands of artillery shells to Israel, which were supposed to be supplied to Ukraine . Yet, for the most part, Ukraine and Israel are “fighting different kinds of wars” and have different capabilities and needs, according to current and former U.S. national security officials and Congress.
It was also clarified that the United States abandoned preconditions for military assistance and sending weapons to Tel Aviv, in contrast to working with Kiev , since Israel is a democratic country and will respect the laws of war.
