Reese and Mary-Frances Winters, DiAngelo called the ability to \u201cengage\u201d in such conversations with \u201csome nuance and some skill\u201d a \u201cbasic qualification\u201d for businesses in this day and age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you can\u2019t do that, you\u2019re just simply not qualified in today\u2019s workplace, no matter what school you went to and how acclaimed you are,\u201d she said at the \u201cRacial Justice: The Next Frontier\u201d webinar hosted by Berrett-Koehler Publishers, an independent publisher that markets DEI literature to businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While many organizations \u201chave the \u2018diversity\u2019 question,\u201d it is merely \u201cone question with no weight, and no one on the hiring committee even knows how to assess a good answer,\u201d she charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>White Fragility<\/em>&nbsp;author also expressed her desire to \u201ccreate a culture that actually spits out those who are resistant, as opposed to what it does now, which is spit out those who want to break with white solidarity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She then pushed for racial segregation, also known as \u201caffinity,\u201d claiming to be a \u201cbig believer in affinity space and affinity work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd I think people of color need to get away from white people and have some community with each other,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The comments drew attention online, with some contrasting the reception of her comments with that of Dilbert comic strip creator Scott Adams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After citing a Rasmussen Reports survey detailing how many black respondents disagreed with the statement \u201cIt\u2019s OK to be white,\u201d Adams&nbsp;<a href=\"#disqus_thread\">340<\/a>&nbsp;a wave of backlash and cancellations last month over remarks describing black people as members of \u201ca hate group\u201d from which white people should \u201cget away.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen Robin DiAngelo says it, it\u2019s inspirational and she gets paid $20k. When Scott Adams says it, it\u2019s racist and he loses his job,\u201d wrote conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018White Fragility\u2019 author Robin DiAngelo, sounding a lot like Scott Adams,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sfmcguire79\/status\/1637436230932504580\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;political theorist Steve McGuire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWill they pull \u2018White Fragility\u2019 off the shelves like they did to Dilbert?\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/endwokeness\/status\/1637618727217766400\">asked<\/a>&nbsp;one Twitter user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe White Fragility author tells people of color to stay away from white people,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Outkick\/status\/1638256505584513046\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;another user. \u201cWill she be canceled like Scott Adams, who said the same thing but in the inverse? Of course not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHow is this different than what Scott Adams said? Will Robin be canceled by her publisher?\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrKarlynB\/status\/1631014898602835969\">asked<\/a>&nbsp;another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2019White fragility\u2019 author makes a career of doing what gets satirists like Scott Adams cancelled.,\u201d another user&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NiceNeanderthal\/status\/1638240298294816770\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DiAngelo, a far-left academic who coined the racist concept \u201cwhite fragility,\u201d often&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alternet.org\/culture\/why-white-people-freak-out-when-theyre-called-out-about-race\">attacks<\/a>&nbsp;white people as \u201cfragile\u201d for their response to \u201cracial stress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, DiAngelo was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/social-justice\/2021\/02\/22\/claim-coca-cola-antiracism-training-tells-workers-try-to-be-less-white\/\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;to have told Coca-Cola employees to try and \u201cbe less white.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, DiAngelo&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2019\/03\/12\/boston-u-says-it-is-dangerous-for-white-people-to-treat-everyone-equally\/\">told<\/a>&nbsp;students at Boston University that it is \u201cdangerous\u201d for white people to say they see people as individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wrlpiupui.weebly.com\/dr-robin-diangelo.html\">helped<\/a>&nbsp;kick off the \u201cWhite Racial Literacy Project\u201d aimed at making white students aware that they have racist thoughts and unknowingly commit racist acts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The matter comes as anti-white sentiment continues to be pushed by the \u201cwoke\u201d left and mainstream media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A report from last month&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2023\/02\/26\/cambridge-university-blocked-working-class-whites-from-applying-for-post-graduate-programme\/\">detailed<\/a>&nbsp;how the University of Cambridge initially blocked working-class white students from a post-graduate program designed for students from underrepresented groups, leading to accusations of anti-white racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2023\/03\/2 1\/white-fragility-author-robin-diangelo-says-people-color-n eed-get-away-white-people\/\">Breitbart<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a live event earlier this month featuring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) consultants Mareisha N.
