President Trump on Sunday slammed the New York Times for reporting that not much has changed after four months of war between the U.S. and Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The president said their reporting was \u201cTREASONOUS\u201d and said the article in question would be added to his lawsuit against the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe headline in the Corrupt and Failing New York Times: \u2018What Changed After Almost 4 Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much.\u2019 REALLY?\u201d Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTheir Military is DONE, their Navy is GONE, their Air Force is GONE, their Launching Pads, Missiles, Drones and Manufacturing of same, is almost GONE, their top two sets of Leaders are GONE, their Inflation is at 250%, their Economy is BROKEN, their Soldiers aren\u2019t being paid, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN, THE OIL IS GUSHING, and the U.S. Stock Market and Jobs are at record HIGHS,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate post, Trump includes a screenshot of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) bashing the New York Times for alleging the president\u2019s Iran war wasn\u2019t as impactful as portrayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump\u2019s comments come as Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz due to conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The New York Times article notes the new development and cites Iran\u2019s emboldened stance throughout the war as a sign of a stalemate for negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Journalist Neil MacFarquhar writes that despite repeated US strikes on Iran, its ability to consistently \u201cretaliate and inflict damage, constituted a victory\u201d prompting Trump\u2019s public rebuttal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
