{"id":57726,"date":"2026-05-21T17:18:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T22:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=57726"},"modified":"2026-05-21T23:20:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T04:20:07","slug":"trump-says-hell-try-to-attend-sons-wedding-this-weekend-but-its-not-good-timing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=57726","title":{"rendered":"Trump says he\u2019ll \u2018try\u2019 to attend son\u2019s wedding this weekend but it\u2019s \u2018not good timing\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">WASHINGTON \u2014 President Donald Trump\u2019s RSVP to his son\u2019s wedding this weekend is still pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to reporters at the White House on Thursday, Trump said that because of the Iran war and \u201cother things,\u201d he wasn\u2019t sure whether he\u2019d be attending the nuptials of Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Asked by NBC News whether he would be in attendance, the president said it \u201cis not good timing for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019d like me to go,\u201d Trump said of his eldest son. \u201cBut it\u2019s going to be just a small, little private affair, and I\u2019m going to try and make it. I\u2019m in the midst \u2014 I said, you know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. That\u2019s one I can\u2019t win on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Trump added that either way, he would be attacked by the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf I do attend, I get killed. If I don\u2019t attend, I get killed, by the fake news, of course,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Still, the president wished the couple luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019s got a very \u2014 a person who I\u2019ve known for a long time, and hopefully they are going to have a great marriage,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The wedding is set to take place on Saturday in the Bahamas, Page Six reported. Trump\u2019s weekend schedule, released by the White House after his remarks Thursday, indicated he will be in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson for Donald Trump Jr. did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Anderson and the younger Trump announced their engagement during a White House holiday party in December, with Trump Jr. calling it a \u201cbig win\u201d as the president stood behind the couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Trump Jr. was married to Vanessa Trump for 13 years and has two children with her.
