Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Iran war is \u201cnot over\u201d in an interview that aired on Sunday, reinvigorating the push to dismantle Tehran\u2019s proxies and see its nuclear enrichment program collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it accomplished a great deal, but it\u2019s not over, because there\u2019s still nuclear material, enriched uranium that has to be taken out of Iran,\u201d Netanyahu said during an appearance on CBS News\u2019s \u201c60 Minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are still enrichment sites that have to be dismantled. There are still proxies that Iran supports. There are ballistic missiles that they still want to produce,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prime minister\u2019s comments come as the Trump administration says Iran must end all uranium enrichment as a broader condition for peace in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Trump on Sunday said he had reviewed Iran\u2019s response to a peace proposal and called it \u201ctotally unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iranian officials have rejected the notion that they must end uranium enrichment but have proposed diluting some of its highly enriched uranium, according to The Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leaders in Tehran have offered to transfer the rest of its enriched uranium to a third country to be returned if negotiations fail or the U.S. exits the agreement later on, according to The Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid multiple proposals, Netanyahu said he envisions someone \u201cgoing in\u201d and taking Iran\u2019s enriched uranium if an agreement cannot be reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not going to talk about military means, but what President Trump has said to me, I want to go in there, and I think it can be done physically. That\u2019s not the problem,\u201d Netanyahu said in the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you have an agreement, and you go in, and you take it out, why not? That\u2019s the best way,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
