Podcaster Joe Rogan is not letting up on his criticism of the joint U.S.-Israel conflict in Iran, commenting during his show on Thursday that he found the situation \u201cterrifying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s f\u2014ing terrifying,\u201d Rogan responded after actor David Cross asked about his opinion on the war. \u201cAll of it\u2019s terrifying. Any time you\u2019re involved with \u2014 you\u2019re shooting missiles into towns and blowing things up, blowing up infrastructure, blowing up bridges \u2014 you know, and Israel\u2019s blowing up Lebanon now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s like, what the f\u2014 are we doing? Like, how is this still going on?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s also clear there was no plan. Zero, none,\u201d Cross chimed in. He said moments later that he thought the U.S. was \u201cin a worse place now than before this thing started,\u201d referencing President Trump\u2019s first-term decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both said that Iran\u2019s regime was \u201cterrible,\u201d condemning its brutal treatment of protesters, but echoed an argument made by some conservatives that military intervention abroad departs from Trump\u2019s campaign promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMost people that voted for Trump or wanted Trump to be in office, one of the things that was attractive was this, no more wars,\u201d Rogan said. \u201cNow we\u2019re in one of the craziest ones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rogan, who endorsed Trump a day before the 2024 presidential election, has become more critical of the president since the start of the president\u2019s second term, pushing back against the U.S. strikes in the Middle East and the administration\u2019s immigration enforcement tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He previously described the president\u2019s decision to launch initial strikes as confusing and warned that it risked drawing the U.S. into a wider conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m confused. I can\u2019t believe we went to this war. When we started bombing Iran, I was like, \u2018This can\u2019t be true,\u2019\u201d Rogan said during a podcast with Theo Von earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Time is winding down on a fragile, two-week ceasefire reached by the U.S. and Iran last week. Negotiations in Islamabad collapsed over the weekend, with U.S. and Iranian officials unable to reach an agreement on the future of the country\u2019s nuclear program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vice President Vance, who is leading the U.S. delegation alongside special envoy Steve Witkoff and the president\u2019s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, said during an interview on Monday that the \u201cball is in the Iranian court\u201d when it comes to a long-term deal to end hostilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhether we have further conversations, whether we ultimately get to a deal, I really think the ball is in the Iranian court because we put a lot on the table,\u201d Vance said. \u201cWe actually made very clear what our red lines were.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry confirmed Thursday that a second round of talks was in the works, but no date has been solidified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
