She later retrieves the object before running into the hallway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">One student asks, &#8220;Is that a pocketknife?&#8221; as the student runs down the hallway and out of sight. Faculty members also charged after the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A teacher used a chair to try to stop the student from chasing the other.&nbsp;(Fox 2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In a statement obtained by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox2detroit.com\/news\/alleged-knife-attack-denby-high-school-detroit-has-police-investigating\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FOX 2<\/a>, the school district confirmed that a student brought a box cutter to campus and attempted to attack another student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">&#8220;There were no injuries associated with the incident,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;The student has been arrested and will not be returning to Denby or another district school.
