{"id":51607,"date":"2025-12-23T19:41:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T01:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=51607"},"modified":"2025-12-23T21:42:42","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T03:42:42","slug":"joint-pain-supplement-recalled-nationwide-over-lead-concerns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=51607","title":{"rendered":"Joint pain supplement recalled nationwide over lead concerns"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/?p=3674396\"><u>NewsNation<\/u><\/a>) \u2014 A consumer-level joint pain supplement has been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/us-news\/recalls\/\"><u>recalled<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;due to high levels of lead, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/handelnine-global-limited-dba-navafresh-issues-nationwide-recall-rheumacare-capsules-virgo-uap\"><u>U.S. Food &amp; Drug Administration<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;announced Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Handelnine Global Limited, doing business as Navafresh, has recalled two lots of its Rheumacare capsules after FDA testing revealed \u201chigher than permissible levels\u201d of lead were found in the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The recalled lots include CAM040 &amp; CALO79-N. The product was distributed to consumers nationwide through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/navafresh.com\/\"><u>www.navafresh.com<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cSustained exposure of elevated levels of lead poses increased potential toxicological risks to consumers to include cognitive impairment, depression, nausea and abdominal pain, motor incoordination, and peripheral neuropathy (loss of muscle control),\u201d according to the FDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The FDA previously sent a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations\/warning-letters\/handelnine-global-llc-dba-navafresh-716013-11172025\"><u>warning letter<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;to Handelnine in November, stating that several of the company\u2019s products are classified as \u201cunapproved new drugs.\u201d<br><br>Rheumacare Capsules were included in the initial warning \u201cbecause the presence of lead in the amounts identified by the FDA raises significant safety concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So far, Handelnine has received \u201cone adverse event\u201d complaint in connection with the recalled product.
