The search continued on Wednesday, and at that time, it was unclear whether there were remains of multiple people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The identity of the one person recovered is not known, the San Diego County District Attorney&#8217;s office said on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/human-remains-discovered-san-diego-property-police-investigating\/story?id=128083434&amp;cb=1jbkn34e7\"><\/a>An autopsy will be conducted, the DA&#8217;s office said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Dwight William Rhone, 74, who previously lived at the property, is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation, the DA&#8217;s office said earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Rhone is currently in custody on homicide charges in connection with a man&#8217;s 2023 murder, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities have not said if that homicide case is connected to the search at the San Diego property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/1-set-human-remains-found-san-diego-property\/story?id=128107090\">abcnews<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Days after law enforcement descended on a&nbsp;San Diego, California, property to search for human remains,&nbsp;authorities said the search is over and one set of human remains was found.
