Donald Glover is opening up about a recent health scare that forced him to cancel his tour last year<\/a>. At the time, he described it as an \u201cailment,\u201d but Glover said Saturday night at a performance that a doctor told him he\u2019d had a stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glover, who performs under the moniker Childish Gambino<\/a>, shared the information on stage at Tyler, the Creator\u2019s<\/a> Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. His remarks were shared widely on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou guys voted for a \u2018where have I been monologue,\u2019\u201d Glover, 42, said. \u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn\u2019t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, \u2018You had a stroke.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glover said he felt like he was letting everyone down, lamenting that he still hasn\u2019t been to Ireland. He also revealed that \u201cthey found a hole\u201d in his heart and he had to have two surgeries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey say everybody has two lives and the second life starts when you realize you have one,\u201d Glover said. \u201cYou got one life, guys, and I gotta be honest, the life I\u2019ve lived with you guys has been such a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His representatives did not immediately respond to request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
