Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ home was broken into Sunday, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Medina County, Ohio, Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed in a statement Tuesday that Sanders’ Cleveland home was broken into Sunday. Authorities said three people carried out the burglary during Sunday\u2019s 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Sanders’ debut as quarterback for the Browns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects were captured on security video entering and exiting Sanders’ home wearing masks and gloves, according to authorities. Officials estimated that $200,000 in property was stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representatives for the Browns and the NFL did not immediately reply to requests for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The break-in follows a series of robberies at the homes of several athletes, including Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The break-ins prompted the NBA and the NFL to issue warnings to their players about the growing threat of organized burglary rings targeting high-profile athletes and other wealthy Americans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seven men were arrested in February and charged in connection with the alleged burglaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Seattle man was arrested in June and charged in connection with a series of robberies and burglaries of four other current and former professional athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
