{"id":48506,"date":"2025-10-13T13:15:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T18:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=48506"},"modified":"2025-10-14T04:19:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T09:19:14","slug":"recall-issued-for-frozen-spinach-sold-nationwide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=48506","title":{"rendered":"Recall issued for frozen spinach sold nationwide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc27.com\/news\/consumer\/recalls\/frozen-vegetable-recalled-nationwide\/\"><u>WHTM<\/u><\/a>) \u2014 The Food &amp; Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the recall of a frozen spinach product that was distributed nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Sno Pac Foods is recalling its Del Mar 35-pound Bulk Organic Frozen Spinach and Sno Pac 10-ounce Organic Frozen Cut Spinach because of possible listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to the FDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">No illnesses have been reported to the Caledonia, Minnesota-based company in connection with the recalled spinach, which was sold in retail stores nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The product distributed in the 35-pound boxes has lot codes 250107A, 250107B, 250107C, 250107D, 2501071 and 2501073, with an expiration date of Jan. 7, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The 10-ounce packages have lot codes SPM1.190.5 with \u201cbest by\u201d date of July 9, 2027; SPC1.160.5 and SPC2.160.5 with \u201cbest by\u201d date of June 9, 2027, and SPM1.097.5 with \u201cbest by\u201d date of April 7, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">According to the FDA, production of the affected spinach has been suspended while the company investigates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Listeria infections can cause serious illness, particularly in older adults, people with weakened immune systems and those who are pregnant or their newborns.
