Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) on Sunday said that hundreds of Texas National Guard members were headed to his state and Oregon and labeled it \u201cTrump\u2019s Invasion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate,\u201d Pritzker said in a thread on the social platform X Sunday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe must now start calling this what it is: Trump\u2019s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state\u2019s military troops,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a post responding to Pritzker, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said that he\u2019d \u201cfully authorized the President to call up 400 members of the Texas National Guard to ensure safety for federal officials.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou can either fully enforce protection for federal employees or get out of the way and let Texas Guard do it,\u201d he added. \u201cNo Guard can match the training, skill, and expertise of the Texas National Guard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In recent months, Trump has sent the National Guard to multiple cities, including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Memphis, Tenn., angering local residents and Democrats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier Sunday, Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said he was<\/u><\/a> \u201cpreparing to take legal action\u201d against Trump for sending California National Guard troops to the Beaver State after a federal judge had stopped the mobilization of troops in Portland, Ore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are quickly assessing our options and preparing to take legal action. We\u2019ll continue to share updates as we have them,\u201d Rayfield said Sunday in a post on the social platform X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
