Casey was last seen Saturday morning, and troopers said they were notified of an overdue hiker the following morning. He had not left details about where he was going or when he would be back, troopers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Search teams used cellphone location data to find Casey\u2019s body near the glacier, off a trail, troopers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Casey&#8217;s body was being sent to the state medical examiner&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Juneau police had said that Casey was in the city for the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In July,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/alaska-juneau-overdue-hiker-cruise-66379aed30685edd1f94295c9277f2a1\">a Kentucky woman<\/a>&nbsp;visiting Juneau on a cruise ship was found dead on the mountains near downtown after she didn&#8217;t return from a hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/arizona-hiker-died-after-falling-alaskas-mendenhall-glacier-125228844\">abcnews<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JUNEAU, Alaska &#8212;&nbsp;A hiker from Arizona died from injuries sustained in a fall near the Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska\u2019s capital city, authorities said.
