LONDON — LONDON (AP) \u2014 Oasis<\/a> said Sunday that its members are \u201cshocked and saddened\u201d after a man fell to his death during a concert by the band at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Metropolitan Police force said officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person just before 10:30 (2130GMT) on Saturday night<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said a man in his 40s was found \u201cwith injuries consistent with a fall.\u201d He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The force urged anyone who saw what happened or caught it on phone video to contact police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,\u201d Oasis said in a statement, offering \u201dsincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Britpop icons\u2019 first tour in 16 year<\/a> s kicked off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. Saturday\u2019s concert was the fourth of seven planned shows at Wembley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stadium management said Sunday\u2019s gig would go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
