Rep. Brendan Boyle\u2002<\/u><\/a>(D-Pa.) took a swing at fellow Pennsylvanian Sen. John Fetterman\u2002<\/u><\/a>(D) over comments he made as the Senate was on its way to passing President Trump\u2019s\u2002<\/u><\/a>\u201cbig, beautiful bill,\u201d in which he said he had \u201cmissed\u201d a beach trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will do whatever it takes, stay up for 48 straight hours, 72 straight hours, do whatever it takes to block this bill from becoming law,\u201d Boyle told The Bulwark\u2019s Sam Stein\u2002<\/u><\/a>in an interview that came out Tuesday<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd that should be the attitude, frankly, of every Democratic member of the House and Senate. If you are here, you\u2019re damn lucky, and you\u2019re privileged to be here. You should want to be here. If you don\u2019t want to be here, leave,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fetterman made it quite clear Monday morning that he was not feeling excited about going through a marathon series of votes on the \u201cbig, beautiful bill,\u201d saying that it was costing him beach time, as the bill<\/u><\/a> was likely to pass anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh my God, I just want to go home. I\u2019ve already \u2026 I\u2019ve missed our entire trip to the beach,\u201d Fetterman said to reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senate Republicans passed Trump\u2019s \u201cbig, beautiful bill\u201d early Tuesday afternoon<\/u><\/a>, making it a step closer to crossing the president\u2019s desk. The bill now makes its way to the House, where questions arise about whether the lower chamber can meet a self-imposed Republican July 4 deadline for passing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlmost all of our Great Republicans in the United States Senate have passed our \u2018ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL.\u2019 It is no longer a \u2018House Bill\u2019 or a \u2018Senate Bill\u2019. It is everyone\u2019s Bill,\u201d Trump said in a Truth Social post<\/u><\/a> Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill has reached out to Fetterman\u2019s office for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
