{"id":43355,"date":"2025-06-10T19:44:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T00:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=43355"},"modified":"2025-06-10T23:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T04:07:13","slug":"musk-favorability-among-republicans-drops-after-trump-feud-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=43355","title":{"rendered":"Musk favorability among Republicans drops after Trump feud: Poll"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Tech billionaire&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/elon-musk\/\"><u>Elon Musk\u2002<\/u><\/a>saw his favorability drop sharply among Republicans in the aftermath of his public feud with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/donald-trump\/\"><u>President Trump,<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;according to the latest&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/d3nkl3psvxxpe9.cloudfront.net\/documents\/econTabReport_B2kkifF.pdf\"><u>YouGov\/Economist poll<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In the survey \u2014 conducted in the days after the drama unfolded between two of the world\u2019s most powerful men \u2014 Musk\u2019s net favorability among Republicans fell to 39 percent, with 67 percent favorable and 28 percent unfavorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">That represents a dramatic drop from the net 59 percent favorability rating Musk saw the previous week, when 76 percent of Republicans held a favorable view and 18 percent held an unfavorable view of Musk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Musk\u2019s favorability declined across virtually all political groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Overall, his net favorability dropped this week to negative 23 percent \u2014 35 percent favorable, 58 percent unfavorable \u2014 down from a net favorability of negative 9 percent the previous week \u2014 42 percent favorable, 51 percent unfavorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Among Democrats, Musk\u2019s net favorability dropped to net negative 77 percent \u2014 10 percent favorable, 87 percent unfavorable \u2014 down from last week\u2019s already dismal net negative 65 percent \u2014 15 percent favorable, 80 percent unfavorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Even independents soured this week on Musk, whose favorability among that group dropped to net negative 32 percent \u2014 27 percent favorable, 59 percent unfavorable \u2014 down from the previous week\u2019s net negative 22 percent \u2014 34 percent favorable, 56 percent unfavorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The poll also asked respondents whose side they would pick in the feud between Trump and Musk. The vast majority of Republicans picked Trump, 74 percent, while only 6 percent chose Musk.
