Multiple people were injured when a small plane carrying 20 people crashed in Tullahoma, Tennessee, authorities said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Six people were taken to hospitals for injuries that couldn’t be tended to at the scene, said Lyle Russell, a spokesperson for the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two of them were taken by medical helicopter and four by ambulance, Russell said. After they arrived, doctors determined someone who had been taken by ground needed care at a different facility, so that person was then helicoptered to a new location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russell said the conditions of those people are unknown, and said he believes the injured were taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A spokesperson for Vanderbilt University Hospital said it had admitted <\/strong>three patients \u2014 one in critical condition and two stable. The spokesperson did not specify their injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n First responders treated other minor injuries at the scene, Russell added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The plane, a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, crashed around 12:45 p.m. just after it took off from the Tullahoma Regional Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The plane went down on Old Shelbyville Road, according to the FAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Russell said it was a skydiving plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The National Transportation Safety Board said in a statement that it is investigating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
