A young man was knifed on a\u00a0Lower Manhattan\u00a0subway train by an attacker who made an apparent anti-white comment\u00a0\u2014 one of at least seven violent-crime victims\u00a0in the Big Apple\u00a0over the weekend, cops say.
\nThe 24-year-old victim boarded a southbound N subway with three friends at Chambers Street around 10 p.m. Saturday, cops said.
\nWhile on the train, a man in another group said \u201cOh, white people,\u201d a police spokeswoman said.\u00a0The men in the group were black and Hispanic, cops said.
\nA fight broke out when one of the victim\u2019s friends asked the man what he meant by the comment, cops said.
\nOne of\u00a0the men\u00a0displayed a knife and stabbed the victim in the right hip, police said. The other two men punched him in the face.
\nThe victim, whose identity wasn\u2019t released, was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
\nWhen the train reached the Pacific Street Station, a 17-, 18- and 24-year-old were taken into custody with charges pending, cops said.
\nIn another bloody incident, a 58-year-old man was stabbed in the chest with a large kitchen knife\u00a0during\u00a0a verbal\u00a0dispute at 38-33 29th Street in Astoria, Queens, around 8 p.m., cops said.
\nHe was taken to New York-Presbyterian in stable condition.<\/p>\n
