{"id":41156,"date":"2025-04-18T02:34:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T07:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=41156"},"modified":"2025-04-18T02:34:14","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T07:34:14","slug":"actor-haley-joel-osment-faces-alcohol-cocaine-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=41156","title":{"rendered":"Actor Haley Joel Osment faces alcohol, cocaine charges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Actor Haley Joel Osment was charged with misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of alcohol in public and possession of cocaine after his arrest in California this month, the Mono County District Attorney\u2019s Office said Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Osment, 37, who played a boy who can see ghosts in the 1999 film \u201cThe Sixth Sense\u201d and other roles later in life, was arrested April 8 at Mammoth Mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He is due in court on July 7, the district attorney\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Online criminal court records are not available in Mono County, and it was not clear whether Osment had an attorney in the case who could speak on his behalf Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The district attorney\u2019s statement about charges did not detail the allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amp.tmz.com\/2025\/04\/16\/haley-joel-osment-arrested-public-intoxication-mammoth-california\/\">The celebrity news website TMZ reported<\/a>&nbsp;that Osment was arrested at<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>the Mammoth Mountain ski resort after someone reported an intoxicated person and after ski patrol investigated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He is charged with one count of disorderly conduct: under the influence of alcohol in public and one count of possession of cocaine, the district attorney&#8217;s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this year, the actor&#8217;s home in Altadena was destroyed in teh deadly Eator Fire in the Los Angeles area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Osment was charged in 2006 with drunken driving and marijuana possession after crashing into a mailbox.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/haley-joel-osment-alcohol-cocaine-charges-rcna201833\">Nbcnews<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actor Haley Joel Osment was charged with misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of alcohol in public and possession of cocaine after his arrest in California this month, the Mono County District Attorney\u2019s Office said Thursday.
