A plane flipped upside-down on landing at Toronto Pearson International airport on Monday. At least eight people are injured, according to paramedics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All flights were suspended, the Toronto Star wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Videos posted on X show a Delta Air Lines plane overturned on a snow-covered tarmac, with people walking away from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of those injured is in critical condition, according to Peel Regional Paramedic Services Supervisor Lawrence Saindon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The airport reported an incident involving a Delta plane arriving from Minneapolis, stating that emergency teams were responding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll passengers and crew have been accounted for,\u201d Toronto airport said in a statement on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Reuters, Delta representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201dThere is a plane crash. However, we don’t know the circumstances surrounding it at this point,\u201d said Constable Sarah Patten of the Peel Regional Police in Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that \u201cmost of the passengers\u201d were out of the plane and unharmed, but the police on the scene are still investigating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The crash follows several other air incidents in North America in late January. An American Airlines passenger jet collided with an Army helicopter while preparing to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C., killing 67 people. Another tragedy occurred in Philadelphia, where seven people died when a medical transport plane crashed near a mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
