US President Trump expressed confidence that his country can still gain control of Greenland despite protests from Denmark.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Trump told the White House press corps aboard Air Force One:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I think we&#8217;re going to get through Greenland. In my opinion, we&#8217;re going to get it. And I also think that the people of Greenland want to be with us.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He also talked about TikTok&#8217;s future in the U.S. Trump said many people are discussing with him the possibility of buying the platform, but he intends to make a final decision on its fate in about 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">On January 7, US President-elect Trump said that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sputniknews.cn\/20250118\/1063699222.html\">Greenland<\/a>&nbsp;should become part of the United States and stressed its strategic importance to US national security and protecting the &#8220;free world&#8221;, including from threats from China and Russia. In response, Greenland&#8217;s Prime Minister Egede said that Greenland is &#8220;not for sale&#8221; and will never be sold.
