{"id":35897,"date":"2024-12-14T03:25:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-14T09:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=35897"},"modified":"2024-12-14T05:57:27","modified_gmt":"2024-12-14T11:57:27","slug":"ex-wife-4-others-arrested-in-ambush-murder-of-california-doctor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=35897","title":{"rendered":"Ex-wife, 4 others arrested in &#8216;ambush&#8217; murder of California doctor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The ex-wife of a California doctor and four others have been arrested in connection with his &#8220;ambush-style&#8221; murder that took place over the summer, according to Los Angeles officials and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/post\/dr-hamid-mirshojae-death-1-2-suspects-charged-murder-shooting-doctor-woodland-hills-clinic-due-court\/15651076\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local ABC station KABC<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Dr. Hamid Mirshojae was shot and killed in the parking lot of his family medicine clinic in August, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Four months after the brutal murder of her husband, 53-year-old Ahang Mirshojae was arrested alongside Shawn Randolph, 46, on Thursday and are facing murder charges, according to the LAPD.<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/idaho-college-killings-prosecutors-push-back-kohberger-requests\/story?id=116756320\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">On Tuesday, Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, and Evan Hardman, 41, were taken into custody and on Wednesday, Sarallah Jawed, 26 was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Ahang Mirshojae and Randolph were booked for murder; Hardman and Jawed were charged with murder with special circumstances; and Sweeting was charged with accessory to murder, according to officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Ahang Mirshojae and Randolph are being held without bail and their cases will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney\u2019s Office on Monday, according to police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">On Aug. 23, Dr. Hamid Mirshojae was approaching the driver&#8217;s side of his vehicle when a masked man emerged from around the corner of the clinic and ran toward him, police said.
