President Biden\u2002<\/u><\/a>on Tuesday night gave a feisty rebuke to former President Trump, calling him a loser and arguing he\u2019s running for president again to stay out of jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMore people are working today<\/u><\/a> in America than any time since Trump left office, that\u2019s just a fact,\u201d Biden said during a speech at Philadelphia\u2019s City Committee dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c401Ks are strong, violent crime is down<\/u><\/a>, murder is down and fewer people are crossing the border, and Trump calls that a hellscape? He talks about America being a failed nation, where the hell\u2019s he from?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt makes me angry,\u201d the president added. \u201cI say America\u2019s winning, we\u2019re the most powerful nation in the world, the most respected nation in the word. \u2026 Trump says we\u2019re losers, but the only loser I know is Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president also called Trump \u201cdishonest\u201d and mentioned his predecessor\u2019s 34 felony counts<\/u><\/a> against him related to falsifying business records to conceal alleged affairs during his 2016 campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to watch that sentence,\u201d Biden said, referring to the Nov. 26 sentencing<\/u><\/a>. \u201cI think he\u2019s running to stay out of jail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also mentioned that Trump on Monday night cut questions short<\/u><\/a> at a town hall event with supporters in Pennsylvania after two lengthy interruptions due to medical episodes, opting to play several of his favorite songs for the crowd for more than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe stood on the stage for 30 minutes and danced. I\u2019m serious. What\u2019s wrong with this guy?\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden also spoke about Vice President Harris\u2019s loyalty to him while she seeks to campaign<\/u><\/a> on her own agenda while not criticizing Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery president has to cut their own path. That\u2019s what I did. I was loyal to Barack Obama but I cut my own path as president. That\u2019s what Kamala\u2019s going to do. \u2026 She\u2019s been loyal so far, but she\u2019ll cut her own path,\u201d he said, arguing that the vice president will take the country in her own direction and calling her perspective fresh and new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crowd broke into \u201cwe\u2019re not going back,\u201d which is a chant from Harris\u2019s rallies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFolks, this is 2024, we\u2019re not going back,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
